Currently offered for sale is this very rare and exclusive McLaren SLR 722 Edition. The 722 refers to the victory by Stirling Moss in a Mercedes 300 SLR with the starting number 722 at the Mille Miglia in 1955.
This car is finished in Silver with Black Hide and Black Carpets, the trim is also finished in Alcantara with contrast Rosso stitching to match the Rosso seat belts and brake calipers. This car is a UK supplied car, first registered on 16-01-2007 and has only 1 owner from that time. The car has been dry stored in a heated garage and never been out or used in the rain. It has covered just 1700 miles with full main dealer service history and has just had a service at the official SLR Service facility in Brooklands – Surrey. This is an absolutely stunning example, rare in this specification and colour, cherished by its current owner; it is like new throughout, and needs for nothing.
The 722 Edition is differentiated from normal SLR cars mainly by an uprated engine; 19’’ Light weight wheels, while modifications were also made to the suspension, with stiffer damper settings and lower ride height resulting in improved handling.
